Latest News Free Membership till April 1st 2011 Posted on Wednesday June 16, 2010 - 7:28 am CDT by Shawn We are offering free membership to everyone until April next year. This is to accommodate a large interest in our club in setting an anniversary date. We want to keep things simple and one renewal date as opposed to 100 we feel makes sense. Because membership is free, we cannot forward you membership to ATVMB unless you wish to pay $15 up front for your membership. This is ATVMB's fee and your local club fee will still be free for the term. After the term, the fee will be $30 with $15 going to ATVMB. ( www.atvmb.ca ) After the term, we will also elect directors to head meetings and direct. Votes will always be universal and we are not interested in having a specific president appointed. We do have an incorporation with an executive that over-sees the ATV branch of the Richer Community Club Inc. Our goal at this time is to open up trails that have been closed up by dead fall and to map the many trails in the area. We would like to also further mark the condition of these trails and the type of ridding style they are good for. This will make it easier, for example, for a person ridding a sport quad to know where good hard pack trails are and where deep water hole trails are. He/She can make a better choice as to how they would like to ride. We will rely on volunteers for this and we expect club members to help each other out. This task can be made simple by taking a gps with you on a ride in the area and make note of the quality of the trail. This system will also allow us to up keep trails and help keep them in their present condition. If a trail is deteriorating from over use, we can't stop people from using it since most trails in the area are on crown land, but we can post signage to encourage people to stay of the trails until it has recovered or been repaired. The stronger our membership, the easier it will be to accomplish this first goal. In our club we accept everyone, and we expect people to be somewhat professional. It's okay to dislike someone but we expect that those feelings will be left at home and not brought to our group rides. Group rides will be held from time to time, updates will be posted on our website and membership is also available on our website. A donation button will eventually be added if people wish to give something. Any money raised by that way will go towards paying for the cost to create the website, any excess will be put into a bank account and will only be used for items that are voted on by the majority of the membership. The treasurer of the Richer Community Club Inc. will be responsible for our bank account. So please take this time, sign up and help us make a difference. Thank you for your time Brent Results from June 12th ride ![]() Posted on Wednesday June 16, 2010 - 7:21 am CDT by Shawn This day was a success. We had 6 Track Share members show up to help. We headed out even though it looked like any moment it was going to rain. We basically did the derby again, 75percent of the dry and about 60percent of the wet runs to pick up garbage and to collect the signage. There was well over 200 signs posted for the derby and we grabbed about 150 that day. Also after we were done collecting signs we headed over to a trail that has been plagued with dead fall. I went down this trail in the winter and it was just a big zig-zag mess of fallen over tree's. So we ended up opening up about 1.5 kms of this trail. So for those who came out, THANKS, you helped out a lot Public Ride / Trail Cleanup - June 12th! Posted on Thursday June 10, 2010 - 9:25 am CDT by Armando Trackshare thread started by Shawn: http://www.trackshare.com/forum/showthread.php?t=37388 Well its time to head out and do a bit of work and try to find some new trails and open a few trails up... I'm heading out Saturday morning to collect the signs from the Richer Derby. Some have been collected some still need to be taken down. Then later on, head out and find two trails we found on a earlier public ride and clear/clean then up. Lots of dead fall. Drop at the Double S for 10 am and head out once everyone is unloaded... I will probably hit the maple Inn for breakfast which will be at 9am (99percent chance) I'd like a couple of mud guys to come out , to hit the "easy wet" stage and go fetch some signs and see if there is any garbage left behind... Also topic of the day will be Richer ATV Club - love to hear more ideas Cheers !!!! Welcome to the Richer ATV Club Website!
